Why do I need a Fire Alarm System?
Most commercial properties are required by law to have a fire alarm system installed and working with yearly inspections to protect employees, customers and the general public. Depending on the size, scope and location of your business will determine if your required by law to have such a system. Check with your local government officials.
What should I do if I hear a fire alarm?
You should evacuate the building immediately and go to the area your supervisor has designated as a meeting point. Proceed to a location away from the buildings where alarms are sounding, or smoke or fire are present. For safety reasons, you should evacuate if you hear any alarm, even if it is not in your zone
What equipment is included in the fire alarm system?
Our fire alarm system comes with standard equipment, including smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors. Each component is installed strategically, based on the layout of your home, to allow for the most coverage in case of smoke or fire.
Does the system send notification alerts to my phone when an alarm goes off?
You can receive system notifications on your phone by downloading the app. These notifications include active alarm alerts. You can check the system status from the app at any time.
Can I lease a fire alarm system?
Fire alarm systems are only available for purchase.
Will this system make me eligible for an insurance discount?
Some insurance providers offer a discount for Commercial property fire alarm system backed by 24/7 fire alarm monitoring. Our staff can help you determine if this is true for you. We also suggest contacting your insurance provider to learn if you qualify for a discount.
How common are false alarms?
False alarms are not common, as monitoring staff verify the nature of the alarm prior to dispatching emergency services.
Does the system still work if the power goes out?
The fire alarm system, as well as the smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors, are equipped with a battery backup. The system will continue to operate in the event of a power outage.
How long does installation take?
A routine installation takes one to two hours.
